Hitchhiking out
Northwest towards Samsun, Istanbul
To go towards Suluova, Merzifon, Samsun, or Istanbul, you need to get to the Amasya Ring Road (Amasya Çevreyolu). You can reach it by taking municipal buses heading towards the ring road or by walking about 1 km from the city center to Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard and start hitchhiking directly from there.
Northeast towards Erzincan
If heading towards Reşadiye, Suşehri, Erzincan, or Erzurum, you also need to get to the Amasya Ring Road. You can do this by taking minibusses heading to the bus terminal and getting off at the bus terminal section of Alparslan Türkeş Boulevard (Amasya Ring Road), or by walking about 1.5 km from the city center to start hitchhiking directly.
Southwest towards Çorum, Ankara
If heading towards Mecitözü, Çorum, or Ankara, you need to get to Tokat Road. You can take municipal buses heading towards Helvacı or Cezaevi and start hitchhiking from the exit of the city. The route to Çorum and Ankara separates from Tokat Road at its 9th kilometer.
Northwest towards Tokat, Sivas
If heading towards Ezinepazarı, Turhal, Tokat, or Sivas, you also need to get to Tokat Road. You can take municipal buses heading towards Helvacı or Cezaevi and start hitchhiking from the exit of the city.
