Hämeenlinna (Swedish: Tavastehus) is a city in southern Finland.
Hitchhiking in
City is next to the motorway between Helsinki and Tampere, so you might often get rides to here. Ask to be dropped at "ABC Tiiriö" service station about 5km north of the city if you wish towards continue south/north.
Hitchhiking out
North / Tampere
The ABC petrol station "Tiiriö" about 5km northwest of the city. You should find a ride to Tampere relatively easy.
A possibility to hitchhike out from the city center is at the crossing of the two streets Kaivokatu and Koulukatu. The motorway starts just a little bit further and there are two lanes, so people can stop on one.
