Hitchhiking out
In Kırıkkale, intercity roads are concentrated around the bus station (Otogar), so you can reach the Otogar from the city center and head in any direction you wish.
West towards Ankara
To go towards Elmadağ and Ankara, you need to get onto the Kırıkkale Ring Road (Ankara-Samsun Road). You can hitchhike from any point along the Kırıkkale Ring Road. Alternatively, you can take the Yahşihan, Yurt, or University minibuses and start hitchhiking from the traffic lights in Yahşihan.
East towards Çorum, Samsun, Yozgat, Sivas
To go towards Balişeyh, Çorum, Samsun, Yozgat, or Sivas, you need to get onto the Kırıkkale Ring Road (Ankara-Samsun Road). You can start hitchhiking from any point along the ring road.
South towards Kırşehir, Kayseri
To go towards Keskin, Kırşehir, Nevşehir, or Kayseri, you need to get onto the Kayseri Road. Since the Kayseri Road passes along the edge of the city, it is always suitable for hitchhiking, so you can start hitchhiking from any point along it.
Southeast towards Konya, Adana
With the Kırıkkale-Kulu Road opening (departing from the 1st km of the Kayseri Road), it is now possible to hitchhike towards Kulu, Konya, and Adana via this road instead of going through Ankara. The road is currently partially open.
North towards Çankırı
To go towards Kalecik and Çankırı, you need to get onto the Çankırı Road. You can follow the directions for the west route and continue hitchhiking from the Çankırı junction at the 9th km of the Ankara Road.
