Kashira (Russian: Кашира) is a city in Russia, located on the high right bank of the Oka River in the south of Moscow Oblast. One of the oldest (since 1356) cities in Moscow Oblast, it serves as a port on the Oka's high right bank and is a railway station on the Paveletsky direction of the Moscow Railway. Kashira is one of the centers of the Stupino-Kashira agglomeration and its second largest city. The population, including the city of Ozheryelye attached in 2015, is 44,551 (2024).

Hitchhiking out
North towards Stupino via the M6 bypass
- Bus and minibus #43, or one stop by suburban train.
Southeast towards Tambov via M6 "Caspian"
- Bus #491 to the village of Kokino.
- "Turn to Korystovo" stop, by buses #23 and #32.
South towards Voronezh and Rostov-on-Don via M4
- From "Kashira" station take bus #128 for 11 stops or bus #34 for 14 stops to the village of Koltovo. You can hitchhike right past the Ivankovskaya interchange. Alternatively, walk 2 km towards Moscow to a large and convenient police checkpoint, which is considered the best hitchhiking spot between Moscow and Voronezh. If you need a ride to Volgograd, you may wait for a local car for about 5 km to the junction with the "Caspian" highway instead of going to the checkpoint.
East towards Ozyory via R115
- "Turn to Ozheryelye" stop, 13 stops on buses #26, #27, or #36. The #36 bus goes all the way to Ozyory.
West towards Nenashëvo (M2) via R115
- The stop just after the junction with the M4 is called "Maleevo." From "Kashira" station, take bus #128 for 12 stops or bus #34 for 15 stops to reach here.
Southeast towards Serebryanye Prudy - Kimovsk - Uzlovaya via R114
- The roundabout south of Ozheryelye city, the stop is called "Turn to Yakovskoye." From Kashira station, 14 stops on bus #29 or 18 stops on bus #28.
- Purlovo railway station; from the last car, 600 meters to the highway.
- From the "Bogatischevo" platform, 630 meters by dirt road across the field to the highway.
- In Serebryanye Prudy, 1 km from the station to the highway.
