Kolomna (Russian: Коломна) is a beautiful and ancient city located 100 kilometers southeast of Moscow. It is situated in Moscow Oblast, Russia, at the confluence of the Moskva and Oka rivers. The "Ural" motorway (M5) bypasses the city to the north.
Hitchhiking out
- "Chyornaya" platform. Seven suburban trains per day.
- "Chyornaya" bus stop, served by buses no. 31, 53, 64.
- From the station or bus stop, walk or take a local bus 2.5 km to the junction of M5 and Novoryazanskoye highway and the police checkpoint. On the bus, you can try to ask the driver to let you off near the police post before heading to Lukhovitsy.
Northwest towards Moscow via M5
- At the beginning of the bypass there is the bus stop "Povorot na Nikul’skoe". From "Golutvin" station it is just 4 stops by buses no. 57 or 36. Also served by buses: 21, 25, 61.
- Departure via the village Khoroshovo.
- "Khoroshovo" platform.
- "Khoroshovo" bus stop. Bus no. 28 goes from the Moscow entrance to Kolomna, from "Pitomnik". Buses no. 80 and 36 go from "Golutvin" station.
- By one of the five suburban trains to Ozyory. You can get off at "Semyonovsky" stop and walk 200 meters through the village Pervomaysky.
- If you don't want to wait for a train, you can depart from "Golutvin" station by bus no. 22 to "Panovo" stop. Also served by buses no. 23, 48, 50, 63, 331.

- You can try camping in your own tent at the mouth of the Moskva river. There is a large green area behind the Bogoyavlensky Monastery. Also, you can explore the ponds along the M5 highway after the Chernorechenskaya junction – the area around them is very forested.
